🌊 Three Good Friends

Once there was a tortoise who lived in a pond. Two swans used to visit him every day. The tortoise was very talkative. He talked to the swans for a long time. Soon, the tortoise and the swans became good friends. They were all very happy.

एक तालाब में एक कछुआ रहता था। दो हंस प्रतिदिन उससे मिलने आते थे। कछुआ बहुत बातूनी था। वह हंसों से बहुत देर तक बातें करता था। धीरे-धीरे कछुआ और दोनों हंस अच्छे मित्र बन गए। वे सभी बहुत खुश थे।

☀️ The Pond Dried Up

One day, there was a drought. The water in the pond dried up. The three friends decided to move to another place. The swans made a plan. The tortoise would hold a stick with his mouth. The two swans would hold the two ends of the stick with their claws. They warned the tortoise: “Do not open your mouth.”

एक दिन सूखा पड़ गया। तालाब का पानी सूख गया। तीनों मित्रों ने किसी दूसरे स्थान पर जाने का निर्णय लिया। हंसों ने एक योजना बनाई। कछुआ अपने मुँह से एक डंडा पकड़ेगा और दोनों हंस डंडे के दोनों सिरों को अपने पंजों से पकड़ेंगे। उन्होंने कछुए को चेतावनी दी— “अपना मुँह मत खोलना।”

😄 People Made Fun

The tortoise understood the plan and promised not to open his mouth. While the three friends were crossing a village, many people saw them. The people were surprised. They shouted at the tortoise and made fun of him. The tortoise became angry. He wanted to speak.

कछुए ने बात समझ ली और वादा किया कि वह यात्रा के दौरान अपना मुँह नहीं खोलेगा। जब तीनों मित्र एक गाँव के ऊपर से गुजर रहे थे, तो बहुत से लोगों ने उन्हें देखा। लोग आश्चर्यचकित हुए। उन्होंने कछुए को आवाज़ें लगाईं और उसका मज़ाक उड़ाया। कछुआ गुस्सा हो गया और बोलना चाहता था।

💔 The Tortoise Falls

As soon as the tortoise opened his mouth to speak, he lost his hold on the stick. He fell down on the ground and died. The swans were shocked to see their friend's end. The tortoise died because of his impatience and foolishness.

जैसे ही कछुए ने बोलने के लिए अपना मुँह खोला, उसकी डंडे पर पकड़ छूट गई। वह नीचे जमीन पर गिर गया और मर गया। अपने मित्र का ऐसा अंत देखकर दोनों हंस बहुत दुखी और स्तब्ध हुए। कछुआ अपनी अधीरता और मूर्खता के कारण मर गया।
