Unit 1, “Fun with Friends”, begins with a picture story.
A duck asks a hen to go to the village fair. The hen agrees and brings her chicks.
They continue their journey with the ducklings and reach a stream.
The duck says that she cannot swim and wonders how they will cross the stream. Then she says that she has a plan.
Children are asked to discuss the pictures with their friends and talk about friendship and helping their friends.
