Chandrayaan
English: Rani is a curious girl who wants to know more about the Moon. Her brother Pratik tells her about Chandrayaan, and a scientist explains how a rocket reaches the Moon.
हिंदी: रानी एक जिज्ञासु बच्ची है जो चंद्रमा के बारे में और जानना चाहती है। उसका भाई प्रतीक उसे चंद्रयान के बारे में बताता है और एक वैज्ञानिक समझाती हैं कि रॉकेट चंद्रमा तक कैसे पहुँचता है।
There was a girl named Rani who lived in a village. She was very curious and used to ask many questions to her family, teachers and friends. “Why is the sky blue?” “Where does the Sun go at night?”
रानी नाम की एक लड़की गाँव में रहती थी। वह बहुत जिज्ञासु थी और अपने परिवार, शिक्षकों तथा मित्रों से बहुत-से प्रश्न पूछा करती थी। “आकाश नीला क्यों है?” “रात में सूर्य कहाँ चला जाता है?”
One evening, Rani heard her mother singing, “Chanda mama door ke ...” Hearing this, Rani asked her mother, “Amma, how far is the Moon?” Amma said, “Rani, the Moon is very far in the sky”. Rani kept on thinking about the Moon and fell asleep.
एक शाम रानी ने अपनी माँ को “चंदा मामा दूर के...” गाते सुना। उसने पूछा, “अम्मा, चाँद कितना दूर है?” माँ ने कहा, “रानी, चाँद आकाश में बहुत दूर है।” रानी चाँद के बारे में सोचती रही और सो गई।
The next morning, Rani woke up hearing the loud voice of her elder brother, Pratik. He was pointing to the TV and shouting in excitement, “Look Rani, India is on the Moon!” Rani looked at the TV.
अगली सुबह रानी अपने बड़े भाई प्रतीक की तेज़ आवाज़ सुनकर जागी। वह टीवी की ओर इशारा करते हुए उत्साह से चिल्ला रहा था, “देखो रानी, भारत चाँद पर है!” रानी ने टीवी की ओर देखा।
She could see photos of some machines on the Moon. She heard a few people talking about the landing on the Moon. She was confused and asked Pratik, “How did Chandrayaan reach the Moon?”
उसे चाँद पर कुछ मशीनों की तस्वीरें दिखाई दीं। उसने कुछ लोगों को चाँद पर उतरने के बारे में बात करते सुना। वह उलझन में पड़ गई और प्रतीक से पूछने लगी, “चंद्रयान चाँद तक कैसे पहुँचा?”
Pratik replied that his friend Vivaan’s mother, Aunt Nandini, is a scientist. “Shall we go and talk to her?” asked Pratik. Rani happily agreed. Both Rani and Pratik decided to visit Vivaan’s house.
प्रतीक ने बताया कि उसके मित्र विवान की माँ नंदिनी आंटी वैज्ञानिक हैं। उसने पूछा, “क्या हम उनसे जाकर बात करें?” रानी खुशी से सहमत हो गई। दोनों ने विवान के घर जाने का निश्चय किया।
Vivaan and his mother welcomed them. Rani could see many models and photographs of rockets in their house. Nandini Aunty offered sharbat to the children and said, “Rani, what do you want to know?”
विवान और उसकी माँ ने उनका स्वागत किया। रानी ने उनके घर में रॉकेटों के कई मॉडल और तस्वीरें देखीं। नंदिनी आंटी ने बच्चों को शरबत दिया और पूछा, “रानी, तुम क्या जानना चाहती हो?”
Rani replied, “People say India is on the Moon. Can you please tell us more about this?” Aunty said, “Yes, of course. Do you know which vehicle is used to go to the Moon?” Pratik immediately said, “I know Aunty, it is a rocket.”
रानी ने कहा, “लोग कहते हैं कि भारत चाँद पर है। क्या आप हमें इसके बारे में और बता सकती हैं?” आंटी ने पूछा कि चाँद तक जाने के लिए कौन-सा वाहन उपयोग होता है। प्रतीक ने तुरंत कहा, “आंटी, मुझे पता है, यह रॉकेट है।”
Rani pointed to the models and photos of rockets in the room. Nandini said, “Very good. Yes, a rocket is used to reach the Moon.” Rani asked, “What does Chandrayaan mean?” Nandini replied, “Chandra means Moon and Yaan means vehicle.”
रानी ने कमरे में रखे रॉकेटों के मॉडल और तस्वीरों की ओर इशारा किया। नंदिनी ने कहा, “बहुत अच्छा। हाँ, चाँद तक पहुँचने के लिए रॉकेट का उपयोग होता है।” रानी ने पूछा, “चंद्रयान का क्या अर्थ है?”
On 14 July 2023, India launched the Chandrayaan which landed on the Moon on 23 August 2023. Rani jumped with excitement and said, “Can I go to the Moon, too?” Nandini smiled, “Maybe, one day.”
14 जुलाई 2023 को भारत ने चंद्रयान का प्रक्षेपण किया और वह 23 अगस्त 2023 को चाँद पर उतरा। रानी उत्साह से उछल पड़ी और बोली, “क्या मैं भी चाँद पर जा सकती हूँ?” नंदिनी मुस्कुराईं, “शायद, एक दिन।”

Rani is a curious girl who asks many questions about the world around her. One evening she asks her mother how far the Moon is.
The next morning her brother Pratik tells her excitedly about India reaching the Moon. Rani wants to know how Chandrayaan reached the Moon.
Rani and Pratik visit Vivaan and his mother Nandini, a scientist. Nandini explains that a rocket is used to reach the Moon.
She explains that Chandra means Moon and Yaan means vehicle. She also tells them that India launched Chandrayaan on 14 July 2023 and it landed on the Moon on 23 August 2023.

रानी और प्रतीक वैज्ञानिक नंदिनी आंटी से मिलने जाते हैं। नंदिनी आंटी बताती हैं कि चंद्रमा तक पहुँचने के लिए रॉकेट का उपयोग किया जाता है।
वह समझाती हैं कि Chandra का अर्थ Moon और Yaan का अर्थ vehicle है। भारत ने Chandrayaan को 14 जुलाई 2023 को लॉन्च किया और यह 23 अगस्त 2023 को चंद्रमा पर उतरा।
