- Take an A4 size paper.
- Fold the paper lengthwise.
- Fold it again.
- Open it, and bring the corners to the centre.
- Fold one of the lower flaps upward.
- Do the same with the other flap on the opposite side.
- The hat is ready.

The Four Seasons introduces children to four seasons — Spring, Summer, Monsoon and Winter.
In Spring, children play and flowers bloom. Summer is hot, and people want to stay cool. During the Monsoon, clouds are filled with rain and people feel cool again.
Winter is cold, and on sunny days people enjoy the sun’s rays.
The chapter encourages children to speak about what they wear in different seasons and to say which season they like the most and why.
Children also look at a picture sequence and tell a story in their own words.
In the reading activity, Brinda visits Hyderabad with her family during summer. Children also read about Prithvi visiting Shimla in winter.
The chapter introduces names of different clothes such as sari, dhoti-kurta, shirt, cap, frock, pants, salwar suit, t-shirt and lungi-angavastram.
Children make a paper hat by following a sequence of folding steps.
The chapter also includes the songs Pitter Patter and Rain.
Finally, children write words that come to their mind when they think about Summer, Winter, Spring and Monsoon.
“The Four Seasons” अध्याय में चार ऋतुओं—Spring (वसंत), Summer (ग्रीष्म), Monsoon (मानसून) और Winter (शीत)—के बारे में बच्चों को परिचित कराया गया है।
वसंत ऋतु में बच्चे खेलते हैं और फूल खिलते हैं। गर्मी बहुत गर्म होती है और लोग ठंडा रहने की इच्छा करते हैं। मानसून में बादल वर्षा से भरे होते हैं और मौसम ठंडा महसूस होता है।
सर्दी ठंडी होती है और धूप वाले दिनों में लोग सूर्य की किरणों का आनंद लेते हैं।
बच्चों को अलग-अलग ऋतुओं में पहने जाने वाले कपड़ों के बारे में बोलने तथा अपनी पसंदीदा ऋतु और उसके कारण बताने का अवसर मिलता है।
चित्रों की सहायता से बच्चों को अपने शब्दों में कहानी सुनाने की गतिविधि भी दी गई है।
पढ़ने की गतिविधि में Brinda अपने परिवार के साथ गर्मियों में Hyderabad जाती है। इसके बाद Prithvi के Shimla जाने और वहाँ ठंड होने के बारे में पढ़ाया गया है।
अध्याय में विभिन्न कपड़ों के नाम— sari, dhoti-kurta, shirt, cap, frock, pants, salwar suit, t-shirt और lungi-angavastram—दिए गए हैं।
बच्चों को कागज से hat बनाने की गतिविधि भी कराई जाती है। इसमें A4 size paper को अलग-अलग चरणों में fold करके paper hat तैयार किया जाता है।
अध्याय में Pitter Patter और Rain नामक वर्षा से संबंधित गीत भी दिए गए हैं।
अंत में बच्चों को Summer, Winter, Spring और Monsoon के बारे में अपने मन में आने वाले शब्द लिखने के लिए कहा गया है।
