Chapter 1: Picture Time
Look at the picture carefully. Can you name the animals and birds?
The picture shows animals and birds living around us.
We can see a lion, monkey, snake, elephant, deer and different birds.
I can see many animals and birds.

The monkey is hanging from a tree.

“Picture Time” helps children talk about animals and birds around them. They observe a picture and identify different animals, birds and other living things.
The chapter also introduces number rhymes. Children practise counting from one to ten through “Fun with Numbers”.
The rhyme “Five Little Monkeys” helps children practise numbers, action words and rhyming words. They also learn words such as little, fell, bumped and holding.
Children practise speaking about a fish, making rhyming words for “ten” and matching animals with their names.
“Picture Time” अध्याय में बच्चों को अपने आसपास पाए जाने वाले जानवरों और पक्षियों को पहचानने और उनके अंग्रेज़ी नाम बोलने का अभ्यास कराया जाता है।
“Fun with Numbers” के माध्यम से बच्चे एक से दस तक की संख्याओं का अभ्यास करते हैं और मछली से संबंधित सरल पंक्तियाँ बोलते हैं।
“Five Little Monkeys” कविता में बंदरों के माध्यम से संख्या, क्रिया-शब्द और तुक वाले शब्दों का अभ्यास कराया जाता है।
बच्चे five–alive और tree–knee जैसे rhyming words पहचानते हैं तथा ten के साथ तुक वाले शब्द बनाते हैं।
