📖 Read the Chapter
The bicycle is very popular in India.
Old and young, the milkman, the postman, the hawker, the newspaper boy, use it for going from one place to another.
A lot of educated young people use bicycle for environmental concerns .
साइकिल भारत में बहुत लोकप्रिय है। बूढ़े और जवान, दूधवाला, डाकिया, फेरीवाला और अखबार बाँटने वाला लड़का—सभी एक जगह से दूसरी जगह जाने के लिए इसका प्रयोग करते हैं।
बहुत से शिक्षित युवा पर्यावरण से जुड़ी चिंताओं के कारण भी साइकिल का प्रयोग करते हैं।
The first bicycle was built in 1817 by a German. It was made of wood.
The rider sat on the saddle and rode it by pushing his feet against the ground.
पहली साइकिल 1817 में एक जर्मन व्यक्ति द्वारा बनाई गई थी। वह लकड़ी की बनी थी।
सवार saddle यानी सीट पर बैठता था और अपने पैरों को जमीन पर पीछे की ओर धकेलकर उसे चलाता था।
In England the machine was called the “Hobby Horse” .
A Scotsman named Macmillan improved the Hobby Horse. He provided pedals which were connected to the rear wheel by long rods.
इंग्लैंड में इस मशीन को “Hobby Horse” कहा जाता था। एक स्कॉटलैंड के व्यक्ति Macmillan ने Hobby Horse में सुधार किया।
उन्होंने pedals लगाए जो लंबी rods के द्वारा rear wheel से जुड़े हुए थे।
In 1861 a Frenchman built a better machine. It was called the “boneshaker” because its wooden wheels gave a rough ride .
Soon rubber wheels were fitted and the machine was then called the bicycle .
1861 में एक फ्रांसीसी व्यक्ति ने एक बेहतर मशीन बनाई। इसे “boneshaker” कहा गया क्योंकि इसके लकड़ी के पहिए बहुत कठिन और झटकेदार ride देते थे।
जल्द ही इसमें rubber wheels लगाए गए और फिर इस मशीन को bicycle कहा जाने लगा।
The modern bicycle was built in 1879 by Harry Lawson , an American.
It was driven by a chain connected to the rear wheel.
आधुनिक साइकिल 1879 में एक अमेरिकी, Harry Lawson, ने बनाई थी।
यह एक chain द्वारा चलती थी जो rear wheel से जुड़ी हुई थी।
The bicycle has been a companion of the common man since ages.
It does not require fuel. It is easy to park. It keeps the body of a rider fit.
The use of bicycle is also eco-friendly , as it keeps the environment noise free and pollution free .
साइकिल बहुत लंबे समय से आम आदमी की साथी रही है। इसे fuel की आवश्यकता नहीं होती। इसे park करना आसान है और यह rider के शरीर को fit रखने में मदद करती है।
साइकिल का प्रयोग eco-friendly भी है क्योंकि यह environment को noise और pollution से मुक्त रखने में मदद करती है।
🪄 Chapter in Simple Hindi
साइकिल भारत में बहुत लोकप्रिय है। दूधवाला, डाकिया, फेरीवाला और अखबार बाँटने वाले लोग इसे एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक जाने के लिए इस्तेमाल करते हैं। युवा लोग पर्यावरण की चिंता के कारण भी साइकिल चलाते हैं।
पहली साइकिल 1817 में एक जर्मन व्यक्ति ने बनाई थी। वह लकड़ी की बनी थी और उसे पैरों को जमीन पर पीछे धकेलकर चलाया जाता था।
