Chapter 3, A Farm, begins with a rhyme about Grandpa's farm. The rhyme introduces animals and their sounds such as moo-moo and cluck-cluck.
Jaggu then tells us about animals and birds that live near his house. We meet a dog, cats, a cow, a rat, snakes and monkeys.
We also learn about birds such as the crow, pigeon, sparrow, parrot and peacock.
The chapter gives children practice in naming animals, noticing the final sounds of words, speaking about colours, talking in pairs and using simple prepositions such as in, on and behind.
अध्याय 3 “A Farm” की शुरुआत दादाजी के खेत पर आधारित एक कविता से होती है। इसमें गाय और मुर्गी जैसे जानवरों तथा उनकी आवाज़ों से बच्चों का परिचय कराया जाता है।
इसके बाद जग्गू अपने घर के आसपास रहने वाले जानवरों और पक्षियों के बारे में बताता है। इसमें कुत्ता, बिल्ली, गाय, चूहा, साँप और बंदर आदि शामिल हैं।
बच्चे कौआ, कबूतर, गौरैया, तोता और मोर जैसे पक्षियों के बारे में भी सीखते हैं।
अध्याय में जानवरों के नाम, शब्दों की अंतिम ध्वनि, रंगों के बारे में बोलना, जोड़ी में बातचीत करना तथा in, on, behind जैसे सरल prepositions का अभ्यास कराया गया है।
